Patricia Gunther, 78, of Gilboa, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Gilboa, Patricia dedicated over 30 years to the Gilboa Conesville Central School District as a bus driver. She was well known for her kindness and creativity, often bringing smiles to the children she transported, whether dressed in costume on Halloween or sharing treats during the holiday season.
Patricia enjoyed crafting and working with ceramics, and she took great pride in preparing meals for family and friends. She especially cherished time spent with her loved ones.
She was the daughter of Ralph Brainerd and Edna Warner, and one of six siblings: Donald, Marge, Marie, Charles, and her twin brother, Richard.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh Gunther, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage; her children, Renee’ and her husband, John, and Randall and his wife, Nancy; her three grandchildren, Gregory, Robert and his wife, Ashley, and Nicholas and his wife, Sunny; and her two great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, her immediate family will gather privately later this spring. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers at this time.
