SCS Grants Tenure to Eight Teachers
SCHOHARIE - Schoharie school board members granted tenure to eight teachers at their meeting last Thursday.
The following teachers were granted tenure:
* Catherine Bikowicz, elementary school teacher.
* Erik Carlsen, secondary school music/band teacher.
* Eric Croote, secondary school physical education teacher.
* Jessica Ebert, elementary school teacher.
* Danielle Mason, elementary school teacher.
* Kate McKenney, elementary school teacher.
* Anthony Monescalchi, elementary school physical education teacher.
* Joanne Spina, special education teacher.
The tenures take effect on September 1.
In other personnel moves, board members:
* Appointed Amy Church to a four-year probationary secondary school AIS/English teacher beginning September 1.
* Accepted the resignation of elementary school counselor Lindsay DiMaso effective June 30.
* Accepted the resignation of Gabrielle Bisaillon as secondary school math teacher, effective June 30.
* Accepted the resignation of Fay Clapper as registered nurse assigned to transportation/classroom support, effective retroactive to March 31.
* Accepted the resignation of Sara Tunney as teaching assistant as of May 1.
* Accepted the resignation of Tara Leveski as administrative support and elementary school sub caller, effective retroactive to April 22.
* Accepted the resignation of Michelle Yager as a substitute, effective March 5.
* Appointed McKenzie Borst as elementary school sub caller for the remainder of the school year, effective April 23.
* Named Paul Yanatos as full-time teacher aide, at a salary of $19,897 per year, retroactive to April 14.
* Appointed Crystal Perrotti as part-time food service helper, ay a salary of $16.28 per hour, effective March 9.
* Added the following people to the SCS substitute list: Lacey Kiser and Brittany Langbein, both non-certified and without degree.
* Added two people to the Capital Region BOCES teacher sub calling service list.
