Former Jefferson Resident and Mountain Eagle Contributor Returns as Published Author with a Message on Legacy and Family
JEFFERSON — Former Jefferson resident and past contributor to The Mountain Eagle, Andrea Peponakis, is returning to the community where part of her writing journey began—this time as a published author with a heartfelt message about family, memory, and being remembered.
Peponakis, who lived in Jefferson for three years, first found her voice as a writer while contributing to The Mountain Eagle. Those early experiences helped shape her path as a storyteller, one that has now led to the release of her newest book, The Tradigital Grandma: From Favorite to Forever How to Become an Unforgettable Grandma by Blending Tradition with Technology.
“My time in Jefferson was incredibly meaningful to me. Writing for The Mountain Eagle gave me the opportunity to connect with people and tell stories that mattered. In many ways, it was the beginning of my author journey. I am forever grateful to the people I met while living there. They all shaped my path in ways I will always carry with me.”
Now based on Long Island, Peponakis has continued her work as a columnist and author, focusing on the power of connection and the importance of preserving family memories. Her latest book was inspired by years of conversations with women who shared a deeply personal wish—to be remembered.
Blending traditional values with simple, modern technology, The Tradigital Grandma offers readers a meaningful way to capture everyday moments, stories, and messages that can be passed down for generations.
“You spoke. I listened. You taught. I learned. You said you want to be remembered. I said I’ll make you unforgettable.”
With Mother’s Day approaching, the book offers a timely and lasting gift—one that goes beyond the moment and continues to grow with each memory created.
Peponakis is also the creator of the companion platform, From Favorite to Forever, designed to help families store and share their stories, photos, and voice recordings in one place.
Her return to The Mountain Eagle—this time as the subject of a story—marks a meaningful milestone in a journey that began in the very pages of the local newspaper.
The Tradigital Grandma is available now on Amazon.
