KINGSTON — The Working Families Party has endorsed Michele Frazier to stand for them in her bid for New York’s 51st Senate District.

Working Families is a grassroots party whose mission is to address the critical challenges confronting many New Yorkers such as access to, and the affordability of, healthcare, childcare, food, and housing. Working Families also advocates for wage increases and labor rights and protections,

“Not a day goes by where I don’t meet residents of our District who are working really hard to earn a living, while at the same time struggling to put food on the table, keep their families housed, get access to health and child care – and to grow an income that can keep up with the cost of living”. She added, “One after another, politicians talk about fighting for the middle class, while voting for special interests. I’m the one who will walk the talk, by keeping the interests of ordinary, hard-working people front and center. This is why Working Families chose me to represent them in November.”

The 51st NYS Senate District covers all of Schoharie, Otsego, and Cortland Counties, and parts of Tompkins, Herkimer, Chenango, Cayuga, Delaware, and Ulster Counties.

Frazier has already won the endorsement of the Ulster County Democratic Committee, at their convention, by a nearly 7 to 1 vote margin over her challenger.
