ESPERANCE — Landis Arboretum will host a live broadcast recording of WAMC Northeast Public Radio’s popular "Vox Pop" gardening show on April 22, coinciding with Earth Day celebrations. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the arboretum’s grounds on Lape Road.

Hosted by WAMC’s Ray Graf, the "Gardening Show All-Stars" will feature a panel of regional horticultural experts. The lineup includes Fred Breglia, executive director of Landis Arboretum; Dale-Ila Riggs of The Berry Patch; and Greg Ward of Ward’s Nursery & Garden Center.

The program offers a unique opportunity for community members to participate in a live studio audience. Attendees are encouraged to bring unusual plant specimens for identification and prepare questions for the panel of agricultural experts.

Tickets for the event are priced at $25 per person. Organizers noted that seating is strictly limited and all tickets must be purchased in advance. There will be no ticket sales at the door on the day of the event, including for arboretum members.

Registration for the broadcast recording is being handled through Eventbrite.

Located in Schoharie and Montgomery counties, Landis Arboretum is a public garden and nature preserve that serves as a regional center for environmental education and outdoor recreation.
