MIDDLEBURGH - The use of AI has expanded to all subject areas at Middleburgh Central School.

District English teachers and elementary school science teachers spoke to school board members at their January meeting about the introduction of AI to their subject and the expansion of its use this year.

At the January 14 meeting, teachers shared how they are incorporating AI into their instructional planning.

Examples included efficiently aligning lesson objectives to State standards, creating assessments with questions modeled after grades three–eight and Regents exams, and providing timely feedback to students.

The highlight of the presentation was sixth-grader Alex Rehberg, who shared his science research project on Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius.
