DELAWARE COUNTY — SIX LOCAL ARTISTS of Delaware County will be welcoming members of the public to their art studios for the “Open Studios” portion of Upstate Art Weekend (UAW). Jenny Neal, GG Stankiewicz, Bea Ortiz, Beth Caspar, Anthony Chase, and Luke Dougherty will welcome visitors on Saturday May 16th & Sunday May 17th, 2026 at their studios from 11am - 6pm.

Visitors are invited to visit the studios of participating artists on these days to hear about their process, view and buy their work.

Jenny Neal is a writer, journalist, photographer and artist, founder of Upstate Dispatch, the 12-year-old multimedia brand that now has a physical location serving as brand headquarters in addition to Jenny’s studio, located on 818 Main Street in Margaretville. www.upstatedispatch.com

GG Stankiewicz (https://www.ggstankiewicz.com/) is a multidisciplinary artist, whose work explores nature and memory through various media, including papermaking, printmaking, painting and sculpture. Her works embody a memory connection to a seasonal time and place in the landscape. Visit her studio at 141 Main Street in the Village of Delhi.

Bea Ortiz is a Spanish-American artist whose practice is rooted in abstract painting and drawing, and expands through participatory installation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her studio is located in: 785 Main St., 2nd Fl. Margaretville. Website: beaortiz.com

Multidisciplinary artist Beth Caspar (bethcaspar.com) works with invented shapes and patterns informed by math, music, type, and most recently light and shadow. Her constructions, paintings, and prints are bold, playful, and sometimes ironic. You'll find her studio at 2884 E. Hubbell Hill Rd., a few miles outside of Margaretville.

Anthony Chase’s impregnated, Italian lime plaster and marble dust surfaces, hover in an elusive yet deeply satisfying zone between painting and object. He is exploring the luminosity and fractured textures that are enlivened by raking light. Website: anthonychasepaintings.com. Studio address: 7697 Elk Creek Road, Delhi NY 13753.

Luke Dougherty is an artist based in upstate New York whose paintings and drawings explore memory, atmosphere, and the structures underlying lived experience. Working with figures, animals, and landscape, his images shift between the observed, the imagined, and the abstract, often taking on a quiet, dreamlike quality. Luke’s studio address is: 1750 Main Street, Bovina Center NY 13740.

The UAW Open Studios Event encompasses 9 other counties in addition to Delaware County: Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester County.
