STAMFORD — Kamilla Talbot’s Abstract Watercolor workshop can help participants learn a new way of seeing on Saturday, June 13, 2026, 10a–1p at the Headwaters Arts Center. Abstracting from the environment can be a challenging exercise, but seasoned artist and teacher Kamilla Talbot has years of experience guiding learners in developing this valuable skill. Using observation and invention as the starting point, this workshop will focus on the process rather than the finished product, allowing for discoveries along the way. In addition to prompts, participants will receive individual attention, and will discuss what constitutes success in their own and others’ work.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own watercolor or gouache supplies, and there will also be supplies available for use. All levels are welcome.
Kamilla Talbot is a local artist who incorporates a loose watercolor technique in her paintings. She is an instructor at the Art Students League in New York City, and has taught at a number of other institutions.
