KORTRIGHT — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced that a Roxbury resident was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Kortright.

On the evening of January 24th, 2026, a Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol in the Town of Kortright when the Deputy’s license plate reader alerted to a suspended registration on a passing vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and the driver was identified as 53-year-old, Bobby D. Mosley Jr, of Roxbury.  A DMV check of the vehicle registration and Mosley’s driver’s license revealed that both the vehicle registration and Mosley’s driving privileges were suspended in NYS for having no insurance on the vehicle.

Mosley was subsequently arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while Registration is Suspended, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Unlicensed Operator, and Operating without Insurance.

Mosley was released on an appearance ticket and traffic summonses. He was directed to appear before the Town of Kortright Court at a later date to answer the charges.
