DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of a Kortright man for driving with a suspended license.
On January 12th, 2026, while on patrol in the Village of Delhi, Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle being operated with no license/registration plates.
Upon conducting a traffic stop, Deputies identified the operator as 57-year-old David Quackenbush of Bloomville. Following an inquiry with the NYS DMV, Deputies determined that Quackenbush’s privileges to operate a motor vehicle in NYS had been expired since 2016. Further investigation found that Quackenbush did possess a State of Tennessee driver’s license, which was suspended for various violations in the State of Tennessee.
Deputies arrested Quackenbush and charged him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor. Quackenbush was issued additional traffic summonses for Unlicensed Operator and No/Missing License Plates.
Quackenbush was released on the summonses and was directed to appear at the Town of Delhi Court at a later date to answer the charges.
