SHARON SPRINGS — Blue Star Farm & Cidery in Sharon Springs hosted the Small Farm Social (Winter Edition) offered by Schoharie County Agricultural Development Specialist Caroline Myran. This event was on the evening of Friday, January 16th at the new cidery location in Sharon Springs! This was a great opportunity for local farmers to network and check out another farm establishment, this was a potluck too!

Blue Star Owner and apple expert, Paul Novko, who recently received the long awaited hard cider licensing, got to show participants the in-depth process of making hard cider, from apple selection to fermentation and bottling. Novko is also the new Village of Sharon Springs Mayor. With a tour of the new facility, there was lots to learn, and great connections made.
