SCHOHARIE — Schoharie Colonial Heritage Association is putting the last details together for this year’s “Spring Antiques in Schoharie” antique show to be held on Saturday, April 11, 10-5 and Sunday April 12, 11-4 at the Schoharie Central School, 136 Academy Drive, Schoharie. The show is moving back to the Schoharie Central School after the extensive renovations and everyone is excited. Visitors will see the newly constructed gymnasium in the Elementary Wing and the brand-new kitchen where we will be serving our homemade chili, mac and cheese, soups and salads plus our delicious desserts. The spacious dealer booths are a perfect backdrop for our many quality dealers to exhibit their treasures. You’ll find country furniture, textiles, carpets, stoneware, vintage books, weathervanes, paintings, Native American items, art glass, jewelry, vintage silver, coins, vintage clothing, jewelry and everything in between. This spring show is a favorite for shoppers as well as the dealers who participate.
This antique show is run by our volunteers and is a major fund raiser to support our two museums — the Schoharie Valley Railroad Museum, and the l743 Palatine House, both open weekends from May ‘til October. The Children’s Summer Theatre program is also supported by our antique shows.
Call show manager Ruth Anne Wilkinson with questions at 518-231-7241. There are still a few spaces available for dealers. Mark your calendars now for the weekend of April 11 and 12. We’ll be anxious to see you!
