Kayla S. Black Memorial Easter Egg Hunt at SSCS is scheduled for April 11th at 2 PM hosted by KNK Landscaping with lots of community support and volunteers. This will be the 4th annual for this wonderful event. Check the KNK Facebook Page for those updates.
Pancakes at The Sap House at Stone House only has a couple more weeks through April 12, open weekends from 8 AM until 1 PM, during the traditional sap season. They accept cash and card now. The Village of Sharon Springs holds their Regular Board Meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each Month at 6:00 PM located at 129 Main St, Sharon Springs, NY 13459. New Sharon Springs Free Library News from Director Emily Bond: Spring has officially arrived, and with the turn of the calendar to April, there’s a renewed sense of energy here at the Sharon Springs Free Library. As the days grow longer and a little warmer, we’re looking forward to a lively month filled with books, community, and a few special surprises.
One highlight you won’t want to miss is our Great Book Giveaway, happening on April 11th from 9am to 2pm. This much-loved event is a wonderful opportunity to browse a wide selection of books, movies, or music and take home something new to enjoy. Whether you’re searching for your next favorite novel, a children’s story, or something informative, there’s sure to be a treasure waiting for you. We will continue to accept donations of books, movies, and CDs during normal business hours.
We’re also excited to hint at something new on the horizon. Beginning in April, the library will be introducing a monthly event designed to bring a little extra warmth and joy to your weekend visit. While we’re still keeping some details under wraps, we can share that it will feature a very special four-legged friend who is sure to delight visitors of all ages.
As always, we invite you to stop in, explore the shelves, and be part of all that’s happening at the library this April. We look forward to seeing you soon!

They are always in need of donations of food or even unopened personal care items! The pantry hours are Thursday 9:00 -10:30 AM & 5:00 - 6:30 PM. Sharon Sr. Congregate Meal Site
Local residents are invited to enjoy good company and a noon-time meal year round (except holidays) at the Schoharie County OFA’s “Spa Ritz” Sr. Congregate Meal Site at the Firehouse at 137 Beechwood Rd. M-W-F. 8 oz of 1% milk is served with each meal. Orders for meals must be called into the OFA office at (838) 202-1080 (updated phone #) before 2 pm for the following day. Effective January 1st the suggested donation for those 60 years old and older is $5.00 per meal. Under age 60? You’re welcome to participate for a fee of $7.50 per meal.
