Look out for lots of rain over the next week with lows back in the 30s again! Highs will hover in the 50s & 60s.

According to the Farmers Almanac, the last frost date could be on or around May 12th, giving us about 144 days for our growing season!

Speaking of Summer, those excellent concerts in the park by Klinkhart Hall are already scheduled so look out for those each Wednesday evening starting July 1st through August!

New Sharon Springs Free Library News from Director Emily Bond: As we wrap up April and look ahead to May, the Sharon Springs Free Library is excited to welcome a new month filled with opportunities to read, learn, and connect. With spring hopefully here to stay, it’s the perfect time to stop by, explore our collection, and enjoy the warmer days with a good book in hand. We’re especially looking forward to our next book discussion meeting, which will take place onFriday, May 15th. This month’s theme is a historical book of the reader’s choice, giving everyone the chance to dive into a time period that interests them most. Whether you’re drawn to sweeping historical fiction or fascinating nonfiction accounts, we encourage all participants to bring their perspectives and recommendations to what promises to be a lively and engaging discussion. We’re also happy to share a fun opportunity for young readers: Pages for Daisy will be held onSaturday, May 16th. This special program invites children to practice their reading skills by sharing a story with Daisy, our friendly library dog. It’s a relaxed and supportive environment that helps build confidence and makes reading even more enjoyable. As always, the library continues to offer a welcoming space for readers of all ages. Be sure to check in regularly for new arrivals, upcoming programs, and community events. We hope to see you soon—and happy reading! Regular hours are; Monday and Thursday 10 am-6 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 1-6 pm, and Saturday 10 am-1 pm.
