SEWARD — The regular Town of Seward Board meeting  was held on April 13. The meeting  was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.  There was a great discussion about Patrick Road. Councilman Bill Harlow suggested three resolutions. All three were passed by the board. One of the resolutions was to allow Chad Evans up to $20,000 to help stop the or hold off the erosion of the road; until the town has a solid plan. The board also asked Mr. Evans to get two more quotes. The board will speak to Mr. Shoemaker, to see if he can evaluate the work he had done previously on Patrick Road, and see if he can evaluate it. Councilman Wendy Rosa had an approved motion to hire the attorney who wrote the town employees hand book. This motion is to add the ability of the Highway Superintendent to allow employees to use overtime as compensation time.

Mr. Harlow talked about upgrades to Seward Town park. If you have ideas, please put them through to the town or use the new country website. The website has up to date and accurate information about the town. For example,  meeting dates and times and what is going on in the town.

The board  discussed the old pay schedule  they had made for employees.  It did not come up to 2026. They did pass the ability for Mr. Evans to use his best judgment  on pay for employees.  Please stay tuned for the next Town Board meeting on the second Monday  each month at 6:30 p.m.
