COBLESKILL — Lancaster Park is looking refreshed this week thanks to the efforts of Tyler Lally, a seventh grader at Golding Middle School, who completed a community service project that earned her credits toward the Junior National Honor Society.

Lally dedicated several hours to improving the park’s appearance, taking on a range of tasks that included raking leaves, removing old flowers from the planters, cleaning the glass sign, and painting the trim on the event board. She also scrubbed the park’s benches and tables, helping restore the space for residents to enjoy as warmer weather approaches.

The transformation was noticeable, with the park showing a clear improvement from before to after the cleanup.

The project was supported by the Village of Cobleskill’s Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, Aaron Cooper, who provided tools and supplies. Coordination for the effort was handled by Donna Gunzinger.

Lally’s work not only contributed to the community but also demonstrated the leadership and initiative recognized by the Junior National Honor Society.
