ALBANY - Members of the Schoharie High School Student Government toured the NYS Capitol in Albany with Commissioner Richard Ball from the Department of Agriculture and Markets last week.

The SCS students visited both the Senate and Assembly, the War Room, and the neighboring Legislative Office Building. The students were given a history of the Capitol, including the Great Western or "Million Dollar Staircase." Thanks to Commissioner Ball, this tour gave the students an insider's perspective, and provided a great lesson in democracy.
