SCHOHARIE — Earlier this month, more than a dozen members of Schoharie Scouts Troop 4 visited the fireman‘s association of the state of New York, FASNY, Museum of Firefighting located in Hudson, New York. Touted as the world’s largest museum dedicated to firefighting history, the complex is home to many rare and antique fire apparatus, fire fighting gear and many related artifacts. As part of the visit, youth from Troop 4 were also able to earn the fire safety merit badge.
The Schoharie Scouting program has been in existence for decades, providing healthy opportunities and experiences for our local youth. The Scouting program is open to both boys and girls ages six through 18.
