SCHOHARIE — Alaina Martin posted a dominant double-double to lead the Schoharie Storm to a 43-20 victory over Mekeel Christian Academy on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Martin, wearing No. 12, fueled the Storm’s offense and controlled the paint, finishing with a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds. Schoharie’s interior presence was further bolstered by No. 21 JuJu Slater, who pulled down 13 rebounds to go along with 6 points.

Mekeel was led by No. 1 Angele Cecil, who accounted for more than half of her team's scoring with 13 points. Despite Cecil's efforts, the Storm’s defensive pressure held Mekeel to just 20 points on the night.

The win moves Schoharie forward in their February schedule as they continue their mid-season push.
