Porter, Zurek, Youmans Tops at M'burgh's Savannah Speedway Races

MIDDLEBURGH - It may have been frigid outside but the races were hot on the inside of the Middleburgh Community Center Saturday at the annual Savannah Speedway Middleburgh Girl Scout races.

The winners in the three heats were:

* 10am: 1st Madeleine Porter, 2nd Iris Meyers, 3rd Julia Tyler.

* 12pm: 1st Rosie Zurek, 2nd Sadie Goldstein, 3rd Alexis Krueger.

* 2pm: 1st Liberty Youmans, 2nd Philomena Vance, 3rd Adelynn Dempsey.

Rosie Zurek was the Grand Champion as they raced the three first place finalists of the three races to find out the Grand Champion.
