ROXBURY — Spring-like temperatures and sunny skies made for a delightful weekend on the slopes at Plattekill Mountain, one of the few remaining privately owned ski areas in New York. Skiers took full advantage of the conditions throughout the day before gathering at the Moose Lodge, where a packed house turned out in support of the Plattekill Mountain Ski Patrolduring its popular chicken dinner fundraiser.
The Winterfest celebration continued inside the lodge with lively conversation, full plates and live music from The Lonely Birds, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors after a day on the mountain. In recent years, Plattekill has also become known as a destination for live entertainment beyond the ski season, hosting a growing lineup of events throughout the year.
