On January 20th, 2026, Sheriff’s Deputies were assigned to serve a Delaware County Family Court Order of Protection, which upon service, prohibits the listed “respondent” from committing specified conduct as outlined in the Order.
Shortly after locating, serving and explaining the provisions of the Order of Protection to the “respondent”, Deputies were contacted by the protected party who advised that the Order of Protection was being violated during the course of an active domestic incident.
Deputies responded back to the scene and upon further investigation, determined that the Order of Protection had been violated.
Deputies subsequently arrested and charged 33-year-old Jesse Emmett of Davenport, NY with one count of Harassment in the 2nd degree, a violation of the NYS Penal Law and and one count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree, a Class A misdemeanor of the NYS Penal Law.
