SHARON SPRINGS — The Sharon Springs Central School Clay Target Team is holding an Open House for their upcoming Spring season on February 21st for any and all interested students.

This will be their 7th season and they were the first Clay Target Team in Schoharie County! Last year, they came in 2nd for their NYS Highschool Clay Target league.

Are you a student and want to see what it is really all about? Join for the Open House on Saturday February 21st at 4:30 PM held at the Sharon Springs Community Library (129 Main Street, Sharon Springs). The spring season kicks off the 1st Saturday of April (4/4) and continues through the end of May.

At the Open House, you’ll be able to meet coaches and student athletes too. This is the time to ask questions and chat with returning team members!

To participate you must be 12 years old or older and either attend Sharon Springs Central School, or any other school that does not have a current Clay Target Team; homeschool students are also welcome to join!

There have been an average of 25-30 students athletes participating each season. Practices and some competitions are held at the Sprout Brook Rod and Gun Club in Canajoharie on Saturdays.

Anyone interested can attend the Open House

and/or contact sscsclaytargetleague@gmail.com and call the Team Leader & Head Coach Cori Bissonette at 518-605-0122. Follow the Team on Facebook at SSCS Clay Target Team for updates.
