ROXBURY — The Roxbury Arts Group announces an open call for participation in an upcoming group exhibition, ‘The Things I Never Said’. Submissions are due by no later than 4pm on February 24, 2026 and the show will run from March 28 - June 27 this year.
‘The Things I Never Said’ will explore themes of memory, truth, and the power of the human voice. What have you known deep down for years but have never expressed before? What are you itching to share? Tell us your truth, whispered or shouted— we want to hear it.
This open call is open to a diverse range of art forms including but not limited to painting, photography, textile work, ceramic, video, and sound art. Sound/video submissions, if accepted, must come with their own monitors/speakers. Depending on the application pool works might extend into the auditorium space of the Roxbury Arts Center. There is a size limit of 30” x 30” including frame for works requested to remain in the gallery space; works larger than this submitted must be permitted to be shown within the hall.
Submissions are due by February 24 at 4pm. Submitters will be notified by February 28, and accepted works will be expected at the gallery by March 21. The exhibition will run from March 28 to June 27 and will open with an artist reception on March 28 from 4-6pm. All artists are expected to pay for their own shipping, if applicable.
There is a tiered scale fee for submission of up to three works per application - a fee of at least $10 is required, with a suggested higher tier of $25. Emerging and underserved artists are encouraged to apply and their base fee will be waived. A Jotform account is required to apply.
