Brenda L. Coons, of Main Street, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Brenda was born 76 years ago in Cortland, NY on December 3, 1949 to Jean (King) and William Rundle.

She loved her annual trips to Longboat Key, Florida, walking on the beach and listening to Jimmy Buffet, spring trips to Barber's Greenhouse for beautiful flowers, fall family gatherings in the Northeast and times with her granddaughters and nieces and nephews.

An accomplished artist in floral design, jewelry and folk-art, Brenda's talented hands brought beautiful pieces of art to life, to the awe of her family and the many friends she made working at the Mill Farm Flower Shoppe, the Artisan Gallery and Stove and Candle Company in Middleburgh.

Brenda is survived by her sons: Gregory (JoAnna) Coons of Charlotteville, Jonathan (Erica) Coons of Huntersland; granddaughters: Savannah Trombley, Cassidy Coons and Jim McBain; her sisters: twin sister Cindy (Bob) Zambito of Riverview FL, Wendy (Ken) Barrel of Summerville, SC, and Lynn Rundle of Albany; her brothers: John (Julie) Rundle of Marcy, NY, and Bill (Sandy) Rundle of Clayton, NJ; her sister-in-law: Barbara Coons of Middleburgh and brother-in-law: Bruce (BJ) Coons of Lebanon, OH.; many nieces, nephews and extended family including her sister-in-love: Lyn (Frank) Herodes of Middleburgh.  Brenda was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 50 years, David L. Coons.
