MARGARETVILLE - The Music Appreciation students at Margaretville Central School were recently treated to a performance by the East Tennessee State University Bluegrass Pride Band, and many other K-12 students and staff were able to join in to listen and clap along.

Students learned about the origins of Bluegrass, American Folk music influences, Appalachian music, acoustic string instruments, and the various roles and dynamics a band has when they perform and improvise together.

Special thanks to Music on the Delaware for offering this experience for our students and bringing the world inside the music room.
