MARGARETVILLE — Michelle Osterhoudt, Superintendent of Margaretville Central School, has been invited to speak at the 2026 New York State Council of School Superintendents (NYSCOSS) Winter Institute & Lobby Day.
Osterhoudt will lead an education session titled “Overcoming Self-Doubt: Leading in the Face of Uncertainty.” The session will focus on encouraging educational leaders to pursue leadership opportunities before they feel fully ready and to redefine what effective leadership can look like in today’s evolving educational landscape. Her presentation will address the challenges of self-doubt, the realities of leading through uncertainty, and the importance of courage and authenticity in educational administration.
The NYSCOSS Winter Institute & Lobby Day, attended by superintendents from across New York State, will take place March 1–3, 2026, at the Albany Capital Center in Albany. The annual event is designed to support members by providing exceptional opportunities to expand and enrich their expertise in educational administration.
The Winter Institute features keynote addresses by national experts in leadership, education, advocacy, and related fields; smaller breakout sessions where members share best practices; an interactive discussion with the New York State Commissioner of Education on current statewide issues and initiatives; and numerous opportunities for networking and collaboration. The event also includes an exhibit hall where companies, associations, organizations, and foundations connect directly with school leaders from across the state.
Osterhoudt’s invitation to present highlights her leadership and commitment to advancing educational excellence. Her session is expected to resonate with superintendents navigating complex challenges while striving to lead with confidence and vision.
