MIDDLEBURGH - Middleburgh school board members made a late addition to the spring coaching roster earlier this month.

School board members appointed Jamie Hotaling as co-assistant coach for modified softball at their March 11 meeting.

In other action, board members:

* Approved the following long-term volunteers: Richard Miller for athletics and Jenna Campbell for the Little Knights.

* Appointed the following extracurricular advisors for the remainder of the school year: Sarah Bramer, Little Knights volleyball, Taylor Foland, Little Knights girls soccer, Jamie Hotaling, Little Knights boys soccer, and Karen Schaffer, Little Knights, cheerleading.

* Accepted the resignation of Erin Rivet, science teacher, effective March 13 with regret and best wishes.

* Approved a request from Christine Lucas to use 18 additional sick leave days for the purpose of a family sick leave.

* Named Madilyn Bevins as a school bus aide effective March 16.

* Declared an Amanda microwave was an obsolete/surplus item.

* Accepted the donation of $25 from Original Works Yours, Inc., for the elementary school art club.

* Approved the 2026-27 school calendar.

* Had a first reading on the following updated board policies: annual organizational meeting, absentee, military, and early mail ballots, medication and person care items, and students with life-threatening health conditions and/or anaphylaxis.
