MARGARETVILLE — In an effort to keep the community informed about information
presented to the Board of Education, the Margaretville Central School District is
launching a pilot Board of Education newsletter.
Currently, the newsletter is being distributed via email within the Margaretville Central
School community, including parents and guardians, teachers, and staff. The district
hopes to expand its reach beyond the school building and is inviting community
members to be included in future distributions.
The newsletter is sent within one week of each Board meeting and provides a brief
overview of key presentations and topics discussed. It is designed to share general
information from each meeting and offer greater insight into the work of the Board.
This newsletter is intended as a summary only and will not serve as official meeting
minutes or a complete record of Board actions. Community members interested in
reviewing full discussions and all formal decisions are encouraged to visit the district’s
website, where official meeting minutes will continue to be posted.
Residents who would like to receive the newsletter or share feedback are encouraged
to email press@margaretvillecs.org to be added to the distribution list.
“The Board values strong communication with our community and is always looking for
ways to improve transparency and connection,” said Marc Osterweil, Communications
Committee Chair. “We want to make it easier for those outside of the school building to
stay informed and feel connected to the important work happening within our district.”
The district looks forward to expanding this pilot program to better serve the broader
Margaretville community.
