COBLESKILL – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that sophomore thrower Will Mann (Pawling, NY) and senior rider Casey Van Nostrand (Guilderland, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending March 1, 2026.

Mann delivered a breakthrough performance on the conference stage, shattering his own SUNY Cobleskill program record in the shot put with a mark of 14.06 meters (46-1½) at the SUNYAC Championships. The toss secured an eighth-place finish and valuable team points, highlighting a strong debut at the championship meet. Mann had previously reset the school standard earlier this season at the Utica Winter Opener, and his continued progression in the circle has made him a consistent scoring threat. He also competed in the weight throw, placing 13th overall with a mark of 14.81 meters (48-7¼).

Van Nostrand turned in an impressive ride at the Skidmore Double Show, showcasing poise and precision in a competitive field. In the first show, she earned Reserve Champion Rider honors after winning a question-off to break a tie with five other competitors. She captured first place in Open Fences and followed with a second-place finish in the Open Flat. Van Nostrand continued her strong form in the second show, securing second-place finishes in both Open Fences and the Open Flat to cap a consistent and high-scoring day in the ring.
