MIDDLEBURGH - It was chilly outside and there was chili inside at the annual Crockpot Cook-Off Saturday at the Middleburgh Library,

The Community Room was full of crockpots full of soups, chilis, desserts, and other concoctions.

The winners on the day were:

* Other category: Laura Pelton for her pineapple meatballs.

* Soup and stew: Sonnie Martin for iron-members stew.

* Chili: Juanita Reyes for her chili.

The winners received gift certificates to local businesses.
