ONEONTA —  On March 28, from 12:00PM to 1:30PM on the green between Stella Luna Restaurant and Foothills Performing Arts Center, CooperstownOneonta Indivisible, Butternut Valley Indivisible, Indivisible for Schoharie County, Cherry Valley Indivisible and Otsego County Democratic Committee will lead a local rally and march to answer the national call for the third "No Kings" peaceful resistance day across the country.

Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food or first aid items for a rally day food and first aid drive to support Oneonta's Veterans' Outreach Center.

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. No Kings 3 in Oneonta will advocate for peaceful and democratic resistance to the Trump  administration’s cruel and antidemocratic acts of injustice, including violent and deadly immigration enforcement,  ongoing corruption, a lack of any real focus on the everyday challenges facing Americans like healthcare and rising costs, and an unauthorized war of choice in Iran that threatens to destabilize the entire Middle East.

The rally will include speakers, performances by local musicians, Yolanda Bush, Becca Frame, and Khalil Jade and the Resistance Singers, followed by a march up to Main St. to say, as our Founding Fathers did, "no kings" in a democracy!
