MIDDLEBURGH - Unlike high volume physical therapy offices, Valley Knights Physical Therapy in Middleburgh offers one-on-one service.

Nicole Camporese, a doctor of physical therapy, has been in the profession for six years and has run Valley Knights Physical Therapy since 2022. The office is at 4912 Route 30 between Middleburgh and Schoharie.

She sees one patient at a time and they are not rushed.

"Here we focus on your form," Ms. Camporese said. "We make sure you are doing the exercises correctly. We make sure what the doctor diagnosed is the problem."

Valley Knights PT is not a high volume clinic, Ms. Camporese noted. She sees most patients once, sometimes twice a week.

Privacy is important here, she added.

"You get my undivided attention for the whole appointment time," she said. "This is what physical therapy is meant to be."

She can offer a customized program tailored to a patient's individual needs.

Ms. Caporese was a captain in the Army and served at Fort Hood in Texas and had tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait. She graduated from the College of Staten Island in 2020.

She began to consider physical therapy after her grandfather, also a veteran, fell and broke his hip. The Marine never fully recovered.

She studied kinesiology at West Point.

"It really sparked something in me to prevent falls. I'm big on prevention, falls, surgery."

While running Valley Knights, Ms. Camporese has dealt with several different types of conditions, including vertigo, and pelvic floor issues. She noted that balance is very important and helping people determine whether they need surgery.

Ms. Camporese wanted to thank people for their support. The community has been very welcoming to Ms. Camporese and her husband Peter who owns the Middleburgh Pharmacy, just down Route 30.

She said she is happy to provide the service in the community.

"We don't have to leave this little valley to have this service."

Valley Knights, which now accepts Medicare, is open from 7am to 3pm on Monday and Wednesday and from 8:30am to 5:30pm on Thursday.
