ESPERANCE — The Landis Arboretum will welcome indoor gardening enthusiasts this month for a community houseplant swap designed to foster local connections and horticultural sharing.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Juried Meeting House, located at 174 Lape Road. Admission to the swap is a $5 donation to the Landis Arboretum, payable by cash or check only.

Participants are asked to bring healthy, pest-free, and labeled plants or cuttings to trade with others. Organizers emphasize that both common and rare varieties are welcome, provided they are for exchange only; no plants will be available for sale.

The gathering is intended for hobbyists at all stages of their plant journey to trade specimens and share gardening knowledge. Attendees are also encouraged to explore the arboretum grounds during their visit.

Those interested in volunteering for the event may contact landisvolunteering@gmail.com, while general inquiries can be directed to info@LandisArboretum.org.
