SCHOHARIE — The Kiwanis Club has reached a milestone as it has completed seventy-five years of service to its community of Schoharie.
On Saturday, April 18th, there will be a community celebration to mark this special occasion for the club. It will take place on the village end of the “Kiwanis” covered bridge by the entrance to the beautiful Lily Park in Schoharie. It will take place from 11 AM until 2 PM in the afternoon. It is a free event, and everyone is welcome. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda, and water for all to enjoy.
There will be some great entertainment provided by Tim Wechgelaer, a talented musician from the Saratoga area; bring a chair, stay for awhile, and enjoy some great music.
There will also be a great selection of raffle prizes for both adults and children.
There will also be a giant anniversary card for anyone to sign and leave a message.
Stop by and meet your local Kiwanis members and say hi. This is a totally free event, but we encourage everyone to please bring an item for the Schoharie food pantry.
This event will be held rain or shine. Special thanks to Bob Vedder for the information.
