WATERVILLE, MAINE – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has named SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech sophomore guard Jaiyla Colon (Worcester, MA) the NAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending January 25, 2026.

Colon delivered one of the top defensive performances of the season in the Fighting Tigers’ 71–37 road NAC win at SUNY Delhi. The guard recorded a season-high four steals and added two blocks while pulling down six defensive rebounds (eight total), consistently disrupting Delhi’s offense. Colon also contributed 14 points, eight rebounds, and three assists while shooting 6-of-12 from the field and 1-of-2 from three-point range in the victory.
