STAMFORD – The Roxbury Arts Group presents Intimate Topographies, an exhibition of artwork by artists Robin Factor and Colleen S. O’Hara, on display at the Headwaters Arts Center in Stamford, April 25–June 13, 2026. A reception for the artists will be held on opening day Saturday April 25th, 4–6p. The artists will return to Headwaters Arts Center on Saturday, May 23, 1–2p to discuss their processes and answer questions from the public. The exhibit and associated events are free and open to the public.

Featuring mixed media artwork by Robin Factor and paintings and photographs by Colleen S. O’Hara, this exhibit explores the intimate arrangement of form, color, line, and space.

Factor’s minimalist collages focus attention on key elements of each work as the eye travels along literal road maps and topographical lines. In her artwork, she “tries to find the essential to create meaning from – show the least to say the most.” Following this maxim, her curio-assemblages offer us carefully curated vignettes, exploring the intersections between naturally occurring and human-made objects.

A process-oriented artist, Colleen S. O’Hara "enjoys working in a space between control and freedom."  Her artwork reveals her playful interaction with materials, with her expressive gestures and measured movements giving her work a sense of suspended animation. O’Hara’s photographs explore the interplay between light, shadow, and depth, creating otherworldly images that make us question our perception and create a compelling complement to her paintings.

Robin Factor holds a BFA and MFA in painting from Pratt Institute. She has shown her work in many group exhibitions and solo shows, including the 2022 show POI/POV at the 1053 Gallery in Fleishmanns, NY. Originally from Brooklyn, Robin now lives and works in the Catskill Mountains of New York.

Through an exploration of process and material, Colleen S. O’Hara’s work questions our experience and understanding of space. Colleen’s paintings have been shown in various group exhibitions throughout the Northeast as well as various solo exhibitions.

O’Hara received her MFA in painting and drawing from the State University Of New York at New Paltz in 2016. In 2013 she received her BFA in painting from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. Colleen has taught as an adjunct professor at both Pratt Munson, and Mohawk Valley Community College, in Utica, NY. She is currently an adjunct professor at SUNY Oneonta.

Our exhibition programs are generously supported by the Roxbury Bottle Shop. All programs offered by the Roxbury Arts Group are supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature, the A.
