HUNTER — This winter truly delivered at Hunter Mountain, with one of the most successful and memorable seasons the resort has seen in decades. As we prepare to close for the season on Sunday, April 5, guests can still enjoy top-to-bottom skiing and riding, with operating hours of 9am-4pm on weekdays and 8:30am-4pm on weekends through closing day.
The 2025/26 winter season stood out for several major milestones and guest-favorite moments including:
The most skiable acreage in the Catskills and in Hunter Mountain’s history, offering guests more terrain and variety all season long
The return of legendary Hunter West terrain, fully open and skiing strong
Multiple powder days, an uncommon but welcome highlight that delivered true winter conditions
The launch of new events and experiences, including the Mountaintop Music Series, Salute to Service, and Expedition Hunter, adding new reasons to visit beyond the turns
Elevated guest experience moments through enhanced lift line activations, featuring fan-favorite giveaways like bacon and fresh donut holes
Cold temperatures, timely natural snowfall, and strong snowmaking allowed Hunter Mountain to consistently deliver premium conditions from early season through spring, while new event programming brought fresh energy to the mountain experience.
“This season was a true team effort start to finish,” said Trent Poole, General Manager at Hunter Mountain. “From opening every inch of terrain to creating memorable moments like handing out bacon in the lift line, which was a first for me, it truly has been an unforgettable winter. I hope everyone gets out to enjoy the amazing spring conditions as we approach our closing day.”
With spring conditions setting the stage for fun, fast laps, and sunny days on snow, we are encouraging guests to take advantage of the final days of the season and start planning for the next.
