Barong and Wood Scabbard

A barong is a fighting knife traditionally used in the Philippines, most commonly among the Moro people. The blade is thick and heavy, typically measuring between 18 and 24 inches in length. Historical accounts note that the barong was powerful enough to cut through rifle or musket barrels and was graciously sent to us by the Old Stone Fort’s Clay Edmunds.

Inkwell

This inkwell belonged to David Williams, one of the three militia men who captured British Major John André. André’s capture led to the discovery of General Benedict Arnold’s planned defection to the British.
