DELHI – Delaware County Public Health is hosting free Climate and Health Workshops at the Delaware County Senior Dining Centers!
Participants will learn how changes to the climate can impact their health, practical steps to reduce these risks, and ways to prepare for emergencies. Understanding the health effects of a changing climate helps communities stay calm, make informed decisions, and recover more quickly during extreme weather events or other climate-related challenges.
These workshops are free to attend and open to residents 60 years and older. Each workshop will take place during the senior dining program lunch hour from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, and each participant will receive a free starter emergency preparedness kit, while supplies last.
These workshops have been made possible through funding from the New York State Department of Health and New York State Association of County Health Officials.
