Mom and pop home gardeners have their planting trays set up in the basement or back room, starting heat loving seedlings like tomato plants, peppers, pumpkins, eggplants and squash.
Warm summers in the Catskills always seem to come in slowly with the touch of cold forever following. Then one day you wake and you hope you did not miss the first and best growing day of the year. No worries, there is always tomorrow’s sun around the corner, urging the sun to release more warmth. Unless, yes, unless big money, like Bill Gates decides to invest and provide financial support for a new research project called solar geoengineering. Solar geoengineering is a climate intervention technology that uses sun blocking or sun dimming to reflect a small percentage of sunlight back into space to cool the earth and atmosphere. Mmmm, makes you think doesn’t it? Does the thought of every action have a reaction still stand?
