MARGARETVILLE — Community members are invited to learn more about the upcoming library budget vote, which supports funding for both Fairview Public Library and Skene Memorial Library, by attending one of several scheduled information sessions. These sessions are designed to provide clear information, answer questions, and help residents better understand what the proposed budget means for the community.

Information sessions will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Fairview Public Library, 43 Walnut Street in Margaretville, as well as Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at Skene Memorial Library, 1017 Main Street in Fleischmanns.

The library budget vote will take place on Tuesday, May 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Margaretville Central School.

“These libraries are vital to our community, and we need community support to continue providing essential programs, resources, and services for residents of all ages,” said Fairview Public Library Board President Jerry Mead. “We encourage everyone to learn more about the budget and take part in the vote.”

All sessions are open to the public and offer an opportunity for community members to stay informed and engaged in the decision-making process. Residents are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and be part of the conversation. We hope to see you there.
