TANNERSVILLE – Spring Is Here & It’s Countdown Time to the Earth Day Celebration!

The 2026 Mountain Top Earth Day Celebration is taking place on Saturday, April 25th from 9am to 2pm. Now in its 8th year, the theme of the Mountain Top Earth Day Celebration has always been Flora, Fauna & Free Family Fun!

The event kicks off at 9am at Fromer Market Gardens with a Spring Garden Workshop from Cornell Cooperative Extension. At 10:15, head over to the Mountain Top Library for the opening event and ribbon cutting ceremony, where our local officials make brief statements on the significance of Earth Day and the mountaintop.

We have so many exciting things packed into 5 hours and want to take this opportunity to introduce some of our exhibitors, many of whom have been present since our first celebration! So in between the Garden Talks, Art Projects, and Wildlife Presentations, make sure you take the time to meet the people in our community most deeply involved in local preservation and conservation efforts!

Exhibitors scheduled this year include: Hunter Rail Trail, Mountain Top Arboretum, Mountain Top Historical Society, Fromer Market Garden, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Peace Village, The Sierra Club (Atlantic Chapter), Camp Catskill, Greene County Tourism, and the Thomas Cole House Historic Site.

There is also an opportunity to sign up for Trail Clean Up, which will take place the next Saturday, May 2nd.

Please join us and meet our neighbors & sponsors::
