Eagle Scout candidates Lauryn Work, Caden Yorks and Jacob Work met Saturday morning at the Richmondville Fish and Game Club to work on their Eagle Scout Projects.

Lauryn’s project was building two handicap tables, two regular picnic tables and two benches for the Fish and Game Club. When she passes her board of review, Lauryn will be the first female Eagle Scout from Troop 58 Fultonham, or from Schoharie County. She would like to thank Curtis Lumber, Home Depot, Agway, and the Richmondville Fish and Game Club for donations to her project. Caden Yorks’ Eagle Scout project will be a trap range scoring tower for the Fish and Game Club. And, Jacob Work’s project is a 12’ x 32’ pavilion, also at the Fish and Game Club. The three worked Saturday morning with a team of Scouts, parents, family and Richmondville Fish and Game Club members. Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in Scouting America, awarded to scouts who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and character. To earn it, a Life Scout must earn 21 merit badges, serve in leadership roles, and complete a major community service project before turning 18.
