DELHI — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced the arrest of a Fremont Center resident for driving while intoxicated.
On Friday night, February 6th, 2026, Sheriff’s Deputies were traveling on Main Street in the Village of Delhi when Deputies observed a vehicle traveling without the vehicles tail lamps illuminated. Upon conducting a traffic stop, Deputies made contact with the driver who was identified as 19-year-old Kaylee Gaebel of Fremont Center, NY.
Upon completion of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged Gaebel with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree, both misdemeanors of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law. Gaebel was also issued traffic summonses for Operating after Consuming Alcohol under the age of 21, and No/Insufficient Tail Lamps, both violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Upon completion of arrest processing, Gaebel was released on appearance tickets and traffic summonses and was directed to appear in the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.
