DELHI — It was a golden Saturday night for Stamford athletics at SUNY Delhi as both the boys' and girls' varsity basketball teams secured league championship titles, capped by a commanding 52-39 victory for the Stamford girls over South Kortright.

The Stamford girls utilized a balanced offensive attack and a dominant interior performance to pull away from the Rams. Mckenna Hoyt led all scorers with a powerhouse 21-point performance, anchoring Stamford’s effort in the paint.

Tierney Turner added 11 points for Stamford, while Rose Bevilacqua chipped in seven. The victory was a true team effort, with eight different players finding the scoresheet to secure the trophy.

South Kortright was led by Carlee Dropp, who finished with 14 points. The Rams saw steady contributions from Kennedy Quarino, Alyssa Tucker, and Alexis Hendrickson, who each tallied six points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Stamford’s scoring depth.
