SCHOHARIE — Carley Waters scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Schoharie Storm to a narrow 49-47 victory over Fonda in a tightly contested basketball matchup.

The Storm relied on a balanced effort from their top performers to secure the win. Waters added five rebounds and two steals to her scoring output, providing a consistent offensive spark throughout the game.

Down in the paint, JuJu Slater proved to be a versatile force for Schoharie. Slater finished with six points but dominated the glass with 10 rebounds, while also contributing four assists and three steals on the defensive end.

Alaina Martin also played a pivotal role in the victory, nearly reaching a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Martin chipped in two steals to help the Storm hold off Fonda’s effort.
