DELHI — Sheriff Craig DuMond announced the arrest of a Hancock man on Criminal Contempt charges.
On March 23rd, 2026, Sheriff’s Deputies received a report that 38-year-old James Procak, an incarcerated individual at the Delaware County Correctional Facility had been making contact via text message conversations and video calls with a protected individual in violation of a duly served order of protection.
On March 24th, 2026, Deputies arrested and charged Procak with one count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor of the New York State Penal Law.
While awaiting arraignment on the new charge, Procak was already being held at the Correctional Facility on previous charges. Upon completion of the arraignment on the new charge, Procak was remanded back to the Delaware County Correctional Facility with no bail.
