COBLESKILL — Strong pitching and a clutch fifth-inning performance led the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs to a victory over Johnstown, highlighted by a dominant defensive stand and timely hitting.

Ally Prezorski set the tone for the Bulldogs, pitching four scoreless innings. She surrendered only three hits and three walks while striking out five batters. Kylie Panarese took over in relief during the fifth inning to secure the shutout, allowing just one hit and a walk to close out the game.

The Bulldogs' defense proved critical throughout the contest, successfully holding Johnstown runners in scoring position in four separate innings. Offensively, Danica Palmer led the charge with a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate, scoring twice and driving in the game-winning run in the fifth. Maddy Borkowski and Panarese added to the offensive production, each recording a double and driving in runs.

Johnstown struggled to capitalize on their opportunities despite an early spark. Lead-off batter J. Kohout opened the game with a double but was later tagged out in a rundown while attempting to steal third base. M. Iorio and M. Brown each contributed singles to reach scoring position, but the Sir Bills were unable to bring them home.

M. Ward started on the mound for Johnstown, striking out six and walking five over four innings of work. B. Williams provided relief in the fifth, allowing one run on a single hit.
