Larry Jamieson and Terri Whitney will be Music on the Delaware’s guest musicians at the March 15, 2026, Coffeehouse at the Walton Theatre. The event runs from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Andrea Retz Paternoster room of the theatre and is free to the public. Desserts and drinks are available with donations to Music on the Delaware gratefully accepted.

Larry Jamieson, guitarist and bassist, and vocalist Terri Whitney will present an evening of classic country music along with a little rock and roll.

Larry Jamieson is perhaps best known as a founding member of the Country Express Dance Band and owner of the Walton Music House from 1985 to 2015. After studying country music and working in Educational TV in Oklahoma in the 1970s, Larry returned to Walton in 1985.  He enjoyed playing guitar and bass in various local dance bands, including Country Express, after his return. Although he recently retired from Country Express, he continues his music activities by teaching music lessons at the Walton Music House and directing his church choir.

Terri, long time lead vocalist for the Country Express band, started singing as a child. She sang in a youth choir at church, and the elementary chorus at school. In her high school years, she formed a band to play for school events. Terri participated in the ultimate idol competitions at Oneonta and placed second overall. She also performed in sock hop events in the Oneonta area. She considers herself lucky to having appeared once on stage with Kenny Rogers. She too recently retired from Country Express.

Coffeehouse concerts take place on the third Sunday of each month September through December and January through May. Two concerts for the 2026 spring season remain, namely Emily Hutchinson (flute) & Svetlana Garitselova (cello) on April 19 and Loren Daniels Trio on May 17.
